My Ski Crazy family is very excited each morning but I am becoming increasingly alarmed! It has been snowing, NON STOP for 6 days, and the snow is halfway up the door! In all the years I have been coming to Park City I have never seen it like this. However, the weather is perfect for cooking and the smell of Black-eye peas with lots of garlic fills the house with lovely aromas. Black-eye peas eaten on New Year’s Day are supposed to bring good luck and fortune. I don’t know why but my Southern ancestors said I needed to provide this dish for my family so I’m on it! I have noticed that many of my artists’ friends are good cooks. We seem to have the compulsion to make stuff and sharing food or something we find beautiful gives us pleasure. I can’t cook for all of you but here is a little painting of sunshine on snow. Hope you like it, and Happy New Year!
By The Way; Don’t forget, painting classes, start next week. Hope to see you!
